Original item: one-of-a-kind. During WWI times in the trenches hard, raw materials were short, the soldiers spent most of their time below the surface of the earth. With plenty of time on their hands they created a multitude of different objects and among the most popular were cigarette lighters. Here is a typical piece of "trench art" from the Great War.
